After nearly a year in Washington, D.C., the Believe in Him stained-glass windows have
been carefully taken down—a moment filled with both gratitude and emotion.
During their time in the nation’s capital, these windows have touched countless hearts. Visitors from all walks of life paused before the glass to reflect on its stories of love, unity, and faith. Each panel carried a message that expressed what words could not, inviting all who saw it to look inward and upward.
One of the most moving moments came during a presentation where artist Gayle Holdman spoke with a young woman who had been deeply moved by the windows’ message. As Gayle shared the stories behind the artwork, the woman’s heart softened. By the end, tears filled her eyes as she embraced Gayle, a powerful reminder of art’s ability to heal, uplift, and connect us.
Another individual was so inspired by Believe in Him that they wrote an entire book reflecting on the symbolism and meaning woven throughout the panels. The ripple effect of that inspiration will continue to spread, long after the glass has been taken down.
Though this chapter in Washington, D.C. has closed, the journey of Believe in Him is far from over. These windows will soon bring their message of hope and unity to new audiences.
Stay tuned to see where they’re going next.
Best,
Roots of Humanity
