The Sphere of Light is a building that shows the journey, value, and progress of humanity. It will house 10,000 sq of illustrative glass.

The idea for the Sphere came to Tom Holdman, founder of the Roots of Humanity Foundation, while touring the Roots of Knowledge stained glass windows. In that quiet moment of reflection, he envisioned something even greater—a space where every person, regardless of belief, culture, race, or background, could feel a deep sense of belonging. A space that would remind us that we are stronger together than we are apart.

Over the past nine years, the foundation has completed many meaningful projects aimed at educating and uniting through art. But the heart of it all—the vision we've been working toward from the beginning—has always been The Sphere of Light.

This stunning structure is currently envisioned in Lehi, Utah, with a projected unveiling in 2030. Thanks to the generous support of an anchor donor, progress has accelerated. We’ve completed glasswork for the subterranean level, skylights, and have now moved forward to crafting panels for the first level above ground.

The building will feature four immersive levels, each one representing a different aspect of the human experience:

  • The Subterranean LevelWhere the journey begins: the formation of creation and origin stories.

  • Level One – “Me” – A personal exploration of identity, self-discovery, and purpose.

  • Level Two – “Us” – A reflection on community, connection, and relationships.

  • Level Three – “Others” – A broader perspective of humanity, global unity, and collective purpose.

We believe this building will be more than just beautiful art—it will be a beacon of light and hope for generations. Through the universal language of visual arts, we can connect in ways that words alone never could.

Follow our journey as we continue creating this inspiring monument to the human spirit.
